Quick start: Aero-Tracker via Bluetooth
Follow this guide to connect your FLYsky Display to Aero-Tracker and confirm it is receiving data.
Start the connection from the Display's Bluetooth menu. Aero-Tracker supplies traffic and GPS information; with the data-source setting below, the Display generates collision alerts.
Before you start
- Power on Aero-Tracker and keep it near the Display during setup.
- Give Aero-Tracker a clear view of the sky so it can obtain a GPS fix.
- Use one traffic source and one connection method during setup. Disconnect any other traffic source already connected to the Display, including an Aero-Tracker Wi-Fi connection.
1. Prepare the Display
- Hold the side Power Button for about 2–3 seconds to turn the Display on, or connect USB power. Acknowledge the startup warning.
- From the radar screen, briefly press the Power Button to open Settings. You can also press and hold the status icons at the top right for about 0.5 seconds.
- Open Config → Traffic/Alerts Data Source and select Others.
- Press SAVE, then return to Settings.

Leave the other settings at their defaults for this first connection. Selecting Others makes the Display calculate collision alerts from the received traffic data. Wi-Fi setup is not required for Bluetooth use.
2. Connect to Aero-Tracker
- On the Display, open Settings → Bluetooth.
- Press REFRESH and wait for the available devices to appear.
- Select your Aero-Tracker from the list and press CONNECT.
- Wait for Status: Connected and check that Current BLE Device identifies your Aero-Tracker. Press BACK and return to the radar screen.

3. Check the Display
Check the status icons at the top right of the Display:
| Indicator | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Bluetooth | Green: the Bluetooth connection is active. |
| Data communication (up/down arrows) | Green: the Display is receiving messages. |
| GPS (satellite) | Green: Aero-Tracker is reporting a valid GPS fix. |
The example also shows a green Wi-Fi icon. Wi-Fi does not need to be connected for this setup; a red or gray Wi-Fi icon alone does not indicate a Bluetooth problem. Aero-Tracker's separate internet-status icon can be red while it continues receiving local radio traffic.
Setup is complete when Bluetooth and data reception are green. A green GPS icon confirms a valid position is available for radar operation. An empty radar can simply mean there is no traffic within the current range and filters. By default, the Display filters traffic to within +/-1000ft of your altitude and hides targets reported as grounded.
Next time you switch on
Power on Aero-Tracker and the Display. The Display stores the selected device and attempts to reconnect automatically. You do not need to scan and select it again each time.
Connected, but no traffic?
| Check | What to do |
|---|---|
| Aero-Tracker is missing from the device list | Confirm it is powered on, keep it near the Display, and press REFRESH again. |
| Bluetooth icon is red | Open Settings → Bluetooth, check the selected device, and press CONNECT. |
| Bluetooth is green but data icon is red | Confirm the Display is connected to the intended Aero-Tracker. A Bluetooth connection alone does not confirm data reception. |
| GPS icon is red | Check Aero-Tracker's GPS reception and allow it to obtain a fix with a clear view of the sky. |
| Icons are green but targets are missing | Check the radar range and source filters. For a ground test, temporarily select Settings → Config → Vertical Decluttering → Show All → SAVE on the Display. Traffic already filtered out by Aero-Tracker will still be unavailable. Restore your preferred altitude limit after testing. |
Once connected, read about radar operation and internally generated alerts. Brightness, themes, and other preferences are covered in the User Manual.
